What is the average number of GCSE’s a person should recieve?
I’m currently taking my GCSE’s. Before the start of the exams, I have 6 A-C’s already (Meaning I can make it into my school’s sixth form) That’s four from my BTEC Business course,
(which I am upgrading to a merit) and two from my IT-OCR course which I am also upgrading to a merit. I fear I may have to re-sit Maths in sixth form, but with the remaining exams I have left, I could get an overall total of 13 and a half GCSE’s.
Should I be stressing or worrying about the potential number of GCSE’s I get when I open that fateful envelope in August? Are the number of GCSE’s you have the difference between an employer judging if you are thick or not? I’m just feeling curious about this whole predicament, need some thought out answers. I would really appreciate it, thanks!
I think it’s more important having high grades in maths, English and science and any subject you’re taking on to further education.
There is also the situation, where those who get 5 As are likely to earn considerabley more than those who get 5 Cs.
You may aswell try your hardest to get the best grades you can get, they stay with you for the rest of your life, so you don’t want to be like “I have 6 A-Cs but 7 Fs.” What grades do you want? What’s the harm in having loads of GCSEs?
